Mathouse Records traces its humble beginnings in 2007 when Martin Rüssmann began to promote and manage regional DJs in Germany. Led by the idea and passion to innovate, support and establish new talents, an agency that later took care of national and international DJs in Europe and the USA was born. It represented DJs and Producers like A. LEE, Beltek, Chriz Rock, el desterrado, Marc Fisher, Olav Basoski, Reza and Sebastian Krieg as well as DJanes like Mari Ferrari and La Trice Perry to name a few.
In spring of 2010, the small agency expanded. From being an agency that promotes and manages regional DJs, it has become a full pledge music record label thus “Mathouse Records” with its agency arm for artist booking and management. The label became a home for a range of House, Tech House, Progressive House and Electro House releases. At the same time the music label eventnight series “Goldfieber – vinyl only” hit the nightlife in Hamburg (Germany) to keep up the seemingly forgotten “black gold” in a time where most of the DJs were playing with CDs and MP3s.
For its first release, Mathouse Records has partnered with legendary and respected House Music Label Strictly Rhythm and released the 12“-Vinyl Edition of “Love Me (ATFC Mixes)“ by Daniel Bovie & Roy Rox feat. Nelson. The dub version of the song was in heavy radio- and video rotation (like MTV and Deluxe Music) and hit the charts from UK to Poland.
For following releases Mathouse Records gained notable artists. Like Prezioso & Marvin ("Tell Me Why", "Let Me Stay", "The Riddle", Time Spa/Propaganda), who released an impulsive cover of Marcella Detroit. “I Believe“ came out on Mathouse Records with additional remixes of Vegas United, Daedalus and Beltek.
Multi-awarded hungarian formation Compact Disco (CLS Music/EMI Publishing) released “I’m In Love“ with remixes amongst others of Myon & Shane 54, Sterbinzsky and Dave Martin, Hamvai PG and Roberto Winny, which all got support from International Top-DJs like Ferry Corsten and Tiësto. In 2012 Compact Disco participated at the world’s biggest television music event, the Eurovision Song Contest, as representative for Hungary.
The release of Deejane Angel D. “Believe In Love“ with soulful vocals by J Lourenzo climbed to the number one of the JunoDownload Progressive House Sales Charts.
As a prelude of his tour in Turkey and Germany, Mathouse Records re-released the track “Gotta Let Go“ by A. LEE (Oxyd Records/EMI Music Publishing) with Amanda Wilson. As a member of the “Freemasons“ and with her vocals for “Seek Bromance“ by Tim Berg aka Avicii, Amanda Wilson earned a worldwide reputation before.
Further releases under Mathouse Records came amongst others by Reza feat. Daisy Dela Diva (Rezonation Music) with "“No Man“, Paki & Jaro feat. Sarah C (DanceAndLove) with “Too Many Reasons“, Mike Melange feat. Marcel with “I’ve Got Love To Give“ and “Send Me Your Love“ by Yann Kriss feat. Paolo Ravley.
Not to forget, A. LEE released another single through Mathouse Records. For his track “That Thang” he could engage Kelli-Leigh, the voice behind Grammy nominated hit “I Got You“ by Duke Dumont feat. Jax Jones. The remixes for this release came by Jay C , Moussa Clarke, Mike La Funk, David Heat & Leo Wiedmann.
